We are looking for a Bioinformatics Project Manager to work with a collaborative, cross-functional team and as a part of our Product department, to take part in all phases of our development process.

As a Bioinformatics Project Manager you will be working closely with our international team, spread on three continents, on evaluating our clients needs and successful realization of their projects. Through tight cooperation with our commercial operations department and together with our bioinformatics and engineering  teams you will enable our clients to maximize their productivity by leveraging the features of our platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with project teams on setting up, maintaining, tracking, and monitoring project plans and schedules. Reporting on project progress, project milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensuring transparency of detailed project requirements.
  • Facilitating resolvement of constraints and assumptions with interested parties in order to establish the project deliverables.
  • Overseeing day-to-day management of multiple projects simultaneously across multiple and diverse teams.
  • Proactively managing project changes, conflicts, and suggesting alternatives.
  • Following the processes and making sure they are constantly improved.
  • Facilitating meetings necessary for a successful project delivery.
  • Understanding the essence of clients’ requests and needs and taking care that they are prioritized and in line with our product roadmap.

An ideal candidate would:

  • Have educational background in Life sciences, including Medicine, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
  • Have experience in project management and project management tools.
  • Have experience in working closely with clients as well as with international teams.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be a strong team player with exceptional communications skills with focus on team success.
  • Have proven experience in handling multiple tasks and deadlines and a can-do attitude.

JavaScript Engineer

As a member of the Computational Biology team at Seven Bridges, you will be working with an international team of scientists and engineers. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including designing novel data analysis algorithms, developing production-level software tools, learning state-of-the-art solutions to bioinformatics problems through literature research, developing and implementing scientifically sound methods to assess the performance of various bioinformatics approaches. Most of the R&D tasks that you will undertake at Seven Bridges will require a multi-disciplinary background spanning computer science, data science, bioinformatics, genomics, biology and scientific research. You will document your work in technical reports and presentations, which will help with the dissemination of information both within the R&D team and also outside the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze high-throughput genomic data obtained from NGS technologies (Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore, etc.)
  • Develop end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines that take raw genomic data (germline DNA, somatic/cancer, RNAseq, etc.) and produce clinically-relevant outputs.
  • Develop and maintain NGS algorithms/tools improving speed, accuracy, and automation.
  • Come up with novel benchmarking methods and implement them in order to compare different bioinformatics solutions to a given problem.
  • Remain up-to-date with third party bioinformatics tools through literature review and computational experiments. Evaluate and utilize them in bioinformatics pipelines as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Master or preferably PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in data analysis for next-generation sequencing (NGS) experiments (e.g. whole genome germline and somatic, RNA-seq, DNA methylation, and ChIP-seq).
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools such as GATK, Sentieon, BWA, VCFtools, pysam, RTGtools, and others.
  • Experience in building and delivering NGS data analysis pipelines.
  • Proven experience in cancer/somatic sequencing data analysis, tumor/normal bioinformatics pipelines and somatic variant callers such as Strelka, MuTect, Platypus, VarDict, etc.
  • Familiarity with cancer-related resources and databases such as TCGA, ICGC and COSMIC.
  • Strong experience in Python and Jupyter notebooks.
  • Capable of executing R&D tasks in a fast-paced product-oriented environment.
  • Ability to conduct both independent and collaborative research.
  • Excellent documentation, presentation and communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

  • Clinical/Lab experience with NGS technologies.

Technical Support Engineer

Our global team is spread across three continents and provides services for a worldwide customer base. Your main role will be to work with our developers, bioinformaticians as well as our clients, on removing obstacles and helping users troubleshoot issues, resolving or escalating problems to engineering teams. Technical Support Engineers will work with our cross-functional team as a part of our Product division in Seven Bridges.

Our Support team works with offices and clients who are distributed across multiple time zones, which is why the work is organized in shifts to allow efficient and meaningful cooperation with all team members. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Automating our solutions to work with the rest of the platform (automated scripts in production environment, installation, and update of monitoring services for customers).
  • Working on production database/microservices (e.g. making mass changes using Seven Bridges  API, scripts or SQL) independently and confidently .

As a Director of Account Management you will manage the team responsible for client success and adoption of the Seven Bridges solution. You will be the key owner of the Account Management teams performance, metrics, and day-to-day operations.

Through the use of novel data structures, advanced query and analytical procedures we aim to develop software that can robustly, accurately and quickly identify diverse molecular changes relevant for human health.

Responsibilities:

The Vice President of Computational Biology will work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, the Graph Product Director and Graph Technology Director to ultimately build and deliver the best possible outcomes for Seven Bridges, our customers, and ultimately patients. In support of this aim, the Vice President of Computational Biology will:

  • Oversee full life-cycle of computational biology offerings from greenfield exploration to validated clinical products.
  • Develop, test, and iterate on go-to-market strategies to capture maximal value of Seven Bridges technologies.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on technology applications including research initiatives, data access, technology transfer etc.
  • Engage experts at client/partner organizations and synthesize scientific needs to facilitate actionability by the development team.
  • Develop and participate in technology transfer partnerships with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations to enable enhanced test cases and demonstration of superior results
  • Present Graph technology and success stories both in verbal and written format
  • Fully understand and support execution of top priority deliverables to support both short and long term growth
  • Enhance visibility by communicating schedules, priorities, and status updates to the team, leadership and stakeholders
  • Oversee and grow individual capacities of team members with a particular emphasis on facilitating communication, collaboration and engagement

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees (Masters/ PhD/ MBA) and/or relevant experience in both scientific (bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics) and business domains.
  • Experience creating successful outcomes via cross-functional, geographically distributed teams
  • Demonstrated experience of productive engagement with large organizations (public/private), leading to partnerships and revenue.
  • Ability to ask questions, constantly learn, adapt, and evolve
  • Demonstrated ability to support team members and facilitate personal development/growth
  • Ability to manage uncertainty, demonstrate good judgement and incorporate data into decisions whenever appropriate and feasible
