As a member of the Computational Biology team at Seven Bridges, you will be working with an international team of scientists and engineers. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks including designing novel data analysis algorithms, developing production-level software tools, learning state-of-the-art solutions to bioinformatics problems through literature research, developing and implementing scientifically sound methods to assess the performance of various bioinformatics approaches. Most of the R&D tasks that you will undertake at Seven Bridges will require a multi-disciplinary background spanning computer science, data science, bioinformatics, genomics, biology and scientific research. You will document your work in technical reports and presentations, which will help with the dissemination of information both within the R&D team and also outside the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze high-throughput genomic data obtained from NGS technologies (Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore, etc.)
  • Develop end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines that take raw genomic data (germline DNA, somatic/cancer, RNAseq, etc.) and produce clinically-relevant outputs.
  • Develop and maintain NGS algorithms/tools improving speed, accuracy, and automation.
  • Come up with novel benchmarking methods and implement them in order to compare different bioinformatics solutions to a given problem.
  • Remain up-to-date with third party bioinformatics tools through literature review and computational experiments. Evaluate and utilize them in bioinformatics pipelines as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Master or preferably PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in data analysis for next-generation sequencing (NGS) experiments (e.g. whole genome germline and somatic, RNA-seq, DNA methylation, and ChIP-seq).
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools such as GATK, Sentieon, BWA, VCFtools, pysam, RTGtools, and others.
  • Experience in building and delivering NGS data analysis pipelines.
  • Proven experience in cancer/somatic sequencing data analysis, tumor/normal bioinformatics pipelines and somatic variant callers such as Strelka, MuTect, Platypus, VarDict, etc.
  • Familiarity with cancer-related resources and databases such as TCGA, ICGC and COSMIC.
  • Strong experience in Python and Jupyter notebooks.
  • Capable of executing R&D tasks in a fast-paced product-oriented environment.
  • Ability to conduct both independent and collaborative research.
  • Excellent documentation, presentation and communication skills in English.

The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for drafting and negotiating legal documents as well as providing advice on a wide variety of legal matters. They are expected to work independently, driving legal matters to a resolution autonomously and collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the company as well as external parties such as clients, vendors, partners, and outside counsel.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners, ranging from form NDAs and end user agreements to complex enterprise SaaS agreements and in-bound IP licensing agreements 
  • Advise commercial and program management staff on deal aspects and negotiations
  • Provide research and advice on a wide variety of regulatory matters, from FDA regulations to employment law to data protection to export regulations

Director of Quality Systems Compliance

The Director of Quality Systems Compliance will lead Seven Bridges quality program as a member of the information security and compliance leadership team, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer.  The successful candidate will be engaged with both internal Seven Bridges stakeholders and external customer quality teams. The role requires the ability to influence internal stakeholders in maturing quality systems compliance which will include policies, procedures, software development lifecycle (SDLC) validation, training, quality and pharmaceutical  specific compliance (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, CLIA, ISO 13485, etc). External customer engagement will be required for this role which includes customer quality audits. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Seven Bridges’ clients can comply with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11 requirements applicable to the work they conduct with Seven Bridges
  • Ensure our SDLC and software validation processes meet GxP requirements, comply with the FDA’s guidance on Software Validation, and meet GAMP 5 standards
  • Develop documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs which meet GxP requirements
  • Achieve ISO 13485 certification for the quality systems supporting the Seven Bridges Platform
  • Develop the company’s quality training process and, in conjunction with People Operations, oversee its operation and ensure it meets applicable quality requirements
  • Ensure our SDLC and software validation processes and documentation meet applicable quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation and record-keeping processes to meet quality requirements, including Validation Plans, Requirements Trace Matrices, User Requirements Specifications, Design Specifications, etc.
  • Develop quality incident response and corrective action preventive action (CAPA) processes and ensure they meet applicable quality requirements
  • Ensure vendor management practices meet applicable quality requirements
  • Serve as the point person for audits of our quality systems by clients, certification firms, and regulatory agencies
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and software validation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders (Engineering, Scientific Operations, Product, Sales, etc) to ensure successful achievement of quality objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Quality Management, Business, Science or related fields or an additional 3 years’ experience required

Event Specialist

The Seven Bridges, Event Specialist will report to the Vice President of Marketing. This position will be primarily responsible for the planning, management and execution of a global conference calendar including trade shows, seminars, partner events, and user group meetings.
